The global network of BiCE restaurants began in 1926 in Milan, founded by Beatrice Ruggeri—known to her family and friends simply as BiCE. Renowned for her extraordinary hospitality and personal warmth, Beatrice was long encouraged to open her cucina to the public. That year, a neighborhood trattoria—loosely translated as a friendly gathering place—was born. With BiCE in the kitchen and her brothers and sisters serving in the dining room, Il Ristorante da Gino e Bice (later known simply as BiCE) embodied the spirit of family. Guests often remarked that dining there felt like being welcomed into the home of a dear friend—exactly as BiCE had hoped. Her vision quickly earned recognition throughout Milan, and in time, her sons Remo and Roberto began extending that vision beyond Italy, carrying the BiCE philosophy across the world.
