Only Doubles Naples First Burger Pop Up

I came on this trip so that I could try what some say is the best burger in the entire world.

Four plane rides, two train rides and about 9,800 miles later I can finally say Ive had the best cheeseburger in the world. It was a such a whirlwind to just get there but the one thing I can tell you is, my experience at was really made because I got to share some words and an entire burger with a cool guy I met from Sweden, who also was trying said burger for the first time and that was why I didn’t really get any good footage because I was just being present and Im ok with that.

This trip was certainly a trip of a lifetime, I feel like it was sort of a final exam of sorts on this journey that is cooking food for a living. I can’t see myself doing anything else if I’m being honest.

I got to meet so many amazing people from all over the world, I had so many beautiful conversations and I ate some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in my entire life!

I needed to get away for a bit A. Because burn out is really real and B. I truly believe that when you travel to places that are foreign to you, you get to learn so much, not only about yourself but also your world view. And finally C. As soon as I get back it’s going to be a tad bit hectic to say the least and I don’t see myself getting away anytime soon. Im so ready for this next chapter of Only Doubles, I cant wait to share more with you as soon as I’m back home. ✌🏽

They say time flies when you’re having fun, I can assure you it absolutely does! I can’t believe it’s already been four years on this journey that is ODB!

Although it’s been the most fun I have ever had in my entire life, it’s also been the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I truly had no idea what I was doing or what I was getting into when I first started this little burger thing. I’ve met some of the most incredible people, Ive gotten to work and collaborate with so many cool brands and businesses and most importantly Ive made friends with people who not only I admire but that inspire me to keep this train rolling down the track.

I started out by selling some sneakers I bought a grill and I sold 40 burgers to friends and family in a parking lot one day (those burgers where terrible I’m so sorry guys lol) but people kept showing up! It’s not always been smooth and people always have an opinion but I can assure you I hear all the comments and I see all the faces both good and bad. I have put my heart and soul into this business and I hope that no matter what you have felt something regardless of good or bad ( hopefully good) I just hope ODB made you feel something.

If you have been on this ride with me since the beginning (you all know who you are) I promise you will be rewarded very very soon! To everyone who has ever stood in line, who has voted for me, who has allowed me to cater a party for you, who has told a friend, who has reshared a picture on the internet, and especially everyone who allowed me to pop up at your spot, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

I truly cannot put into words what it means for all of you to continue to support my dreams. I promise you we are just getting started!! BIG NEWS COMING SOON!!!

Can you believe ODB is going to be four years old? I can assure you I cannot!

It’s been such an amazing journey I can’t begin to explain how important this had been for me as a human being! I want so badly to open something up, but as I learned tonight, I need to remain patient and keep enjoying the journey that is something I’m sure 13 year old me would be super proud of!

Thank you to everyone who has ever collabed with me, thank you to everyone that has ever stood in line, thank to everyone who has told a friend about my little burger thing! I appreciate you!

Im really excited to announce our ODB post cards!

I have had this idea for a little while now and I finally got some time to design them and make them come to life.

The reason for these was simple, we need to remember what it’s like to be HUMAN! I don’t want to be apart of a world that is all artificial. They will be $5 and whoever you send it to will receive a FREE burger!

It’s that simple, just write something to someone and that lucky someone will not only get a cool postcard designed by yours truly but also a free burger!

They will be limited so get them while you can!!

August 2022 is when I met Betty, she was a rental van and I still owe way too much on her but she definitely put in the work for me. I ran almost 70,000 miles around SWFL, back and forth to my commissary almost daily! We were even involved in a GTA style hit and run situation (that was wild) but now it’s time to figure out what my next move is!

I have been so burnt out and this was the absolute last thing that I needed to happen but of course so many of you have reached out and have wanted to lend a hand if at all possible.

Those messages go so so so far, you have no idea! Thank you all for not giving up on me and my ODB journey! We have been lent a van (thank you so much .on.pies) and I will be trying to see what I can do in the meantime! Maybe this is the universe telling me it’s time to take the next step.
