Here in Naples, NY we have a very magical place called Bristol Valley Theater with live shows throughout the summer. Today I took my mom and sister, and Daughter to see the musical: Pump Boys and Dinettes! Please go see this show if you can. It was so fun, so packed full of talented musicians. They are running a Dolly Parton special for $28/ticket for adults for the remaining three days(today at 7:30)the Friday and Saturday shows as well! To the cast of the show- stop by Caruso‘s Café on Friday for a drink and bagel on the house! Well done, bravo!

Swiss Chard Frittata! It was so good, and yes it’s vegetarian and gluten-free but today we did add chopped bacon on the top for some folks! September 1st the fall drinks will appear on the menu(my husband will not let me rush the Pumpkin Spice Latte!) Until then let’s savor the waning summer days here in the Finger Lakes!

Cherry Tomato Salad- everything in this bowl grew within 5 miles from the cafe. This will be the featured salad this week with mixed greens. We are also featuring a Swiss Chard Breakfast frittata!

Mark & I spent last night near Rock City Park where we camped in our van, down by the river and closed our Caruso’s Cafe Anniversary week with solid down time watching fish jump, turtles float, and the moon come up. We hiked with Big Foot, climbed sacred stones and came home to work a 10 hour day prepping to serve tomorrow at 7:00am. The SIX WINNERS of our 6th Anniversary drawings are: Tessa Cratsley, Abbey Northrop, Heather Hanggi, Shannon Wagner, Lanine Hotelling-Caselle, and Sally Keppen! Baba ghanoush Plate! Made with local eggplant - and rounded out with all local organic vegetables. Oh, and that organic watermelon on everyone’s plate - yes it’s grown here in Naples! Yes, it’s delicious, and yes there is a farm stand on Mondays from 3:00-7:00 on Italy Valley road on the right side just when you turn off of Rt. 53. and Yes, we really do love the food freedom we have here in Naples NY- a true blessing!

Saturday the Twisted Branch Trail Run will be in full swing with Seth Almekinder running for his like 10th time? We wish Seth and all the other runners a wonderful day as they participate in the 100K(62ish miles!) Naples will be very busy Saturday along with the Bristol hills! We will be ready to roar at 7:00am at the cafe to fuel up the volunteers and families here in support of the runners! Safe trails to all!
