From Chef Todd-As we approach the 4yr Anniversary of Hurricane Ian’s destruction of Detroit Pizza Joint, I look forward to the Future. This neighborhood Pizza Joint is close to reaching our Goal of reopening in a Real Location post Hurricane. Since the storm, DPJ Guests have enjoyed Classic Detroit Square Pizzas at “Pop Up’s” around SWFL, catered Parties in Homes/Offices/Businesses, and even the “Gas Station”. Our Guests have been posting their 5 star reviews and the community is reposting/sharing the DPJ “Comeback Story” from Hurricane Ian’s destruction 4 years ago. Chef Todd has been finishing up work on New Recipes for the Detroit Pizza Joint Guests to enjoy. Coming Soon, Pizza Bread. This tasty treat has a “light & airy” dough, brushed with Garlic Butter, and topped with Caramelized Onions. DPJ’s Special Summer Hours continue this week-Mon-Closed, Tuesday,-Closed, Wed-11-6, Thurs-11-6, Fri-11-6, Sat-12-6.

From Chef Todd-Next month marks the 4 Year Anniversary of Hurricane Ian and the destruction of so many Businesses throughout SWFL including Detroit Pizza Joint. When I took this video, I was in a state of Shock. It was the day after the Hurricane and my first chance to see the Damage. Just driving the short ride from our rental home to DPJ was extremely hazardous with Power Lines down everywhere in Cape Coral. Post Hurricane, helping people in need all over SWFL helped me get through the difficult time. Just like the Soprano’s Finale, the screen goes black in our reel, but unlike that legendary Show, this is not DPJ’s finale. This Comeback Story is nearing the next chapter and the Future looks promising. Thanks to all of the Friends of DPJ that have shown support and continue to tell their friends/family about our Classic “Detroit” Square Pizza! Thanks for never giving up on us!

The White Pizza has become a Favorite of Detroit Pizza Joint Guests. We start with our “from scratch” dough, then add Caramelized Onions, Mozzarella and Garlic Sauce. DPJ will be closed Saturday(8/1/26) and reopen on Tuesday(8/4/26) at 11am. Text preorders to 239-910-8206.
