Chick-fil-A’s Santa Barbara location has become so popular that the city might declare it a ‘public nuisance.’ According to city officials, the drive-thru line has been getting so long that it backs out into the street, blocking driveways and sidewalks.

At the fast-food chain’s busiest times, the drive-thru can reportedly block traffic for up to 90 minutes on weekdays and 2 and a half hours on Saturdays. A city traffic report states ‘the persistent traffic back-up onto State Street is a public nuisance and that the nuisance is caused by the operation of a drive-thru at the Chick-fil-A restaurant.’

Santa Barbara’s city council has unanimously approved moving toward a potential public nuisance designation, but Chick-fil-A representatives have asked for a delay so they could work on a solution.
