Join us for another unforgettable evening celebrating the extraordinary flavors of Piedmont!
For the 13th year, La Toque is delighted to welcome back Chef Carlo Zarri of Villa San Carlo in Cortemilia, Piedmont’s unofficial capital of truffles and hazelnuts. Chef Carlo arrives with the most pungent luggage in Italy, bringing prized truffles and the flavors, wines, and traditions of his beloved region.

Chef Carlo will once again join forces with Chef Ken Frank for a memorable truffle-accented dinner, accompanied by treasures from the Zarri family cellar. Special older Barolos will also be available by the glass throughout the evening.

🥣 Why does a bowl of soup matter?

Because sometimes something as simple as sharing a meal can make a meaningful difference.

Chef Ken is looking forward to being part of Abode’s Empty Bowls 2026 on September 13th — an afternoon bringing our Napa community together to enjoy great soup, choose a beautiful handmade bowl, and support Abode Services and the South Napa Homeless Shelter.

It’s a cause that’s especially meaningful to us. We’re proud to provide hot lunches to the shelter every Thursday and Friday, and we’re honored to support the incredible work Abode Services does for our neighbors experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

And yes… Chef Ken will be making the gumbo. ❤️

We’re incredibly proud to see Chef Ken Frank and La Toque’s commitment to our Napa community highlighted in the Napa Valley Register.

For years, Chef Ken and our team have worked alongside the Napa Farmers Market and Abode Services Napa to turn surplus food into nutritious meals for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. What began during the pandemic has grown into a long-term commitment—one that has now helped provide more than 50,000 lunches to the community.

For us, hospitality has never stopped at the dining room door. We’re fortunate to work with so many generous farmers, producers, markets, and community partners who make it possible to put good food to good use.

Thank you to the Napa Valley Register for sharing this story—and to everyone who continues to help make Napa Valley a stronger, more caring community.

Late summer has arrived in Napa, and the season has never tasted better. 🍅🍄🍷

~The farmers' markets are overflowing with peak-season produce, Australian black winter truffles are at their best, and there's still time to enjoy our Decadent Black Truffle Sandwich before the season ends.

~In August, our Tour de France: Regional Menu Series travels to Bresse, home of the legendary Poulet de Bresse. Chef Ken Frank's menu features his interpretation of Poulet Comme Chez la Mère Blanc, garlic-parsley frog legs, and other regional classics.

~Coming soon to our à la carte menu: a remarkable new pork chop from Niman Ranch, featuring a rare Duroc × Spanish Ibérico cross with incredible marbling and flavor. Watch for its debut in the coming days.

~And one date to save now: November 20 marks the return of Chef Carlo Zarri for an unforgettable evening celebrating Piemonte, white truffles, and extraordinary mature Barolo from his family's cellar.
