🚨 PSA: SCAM ALERT for Vendors & Small Businesses! 🚨
Event coordinators are popping up on Facebook pretending to represent real companies or host real events. They post professional-looking Facebook Events and message small business owners or vendors to “invite” them to join.
Twice now, I’ve personally called the companies they claimed to represent — and both times, the real businesses said:
👉 “No one by that name works here.”
Please be careful!
Before you pay vendor fees or share your business info:
✅ Call the company directly using their official website number (not the one the “coordinator” gives you).
✅ Double-check the event on the company’s real social media pages or website.
✅ Ask for a formal contract or vendor agreement on company letterhead.
Scammers are getting sneaky, especially during busy event seasons. Don’t let them take advantage of your hard work!
