Captain Scoops is a new ice cream shop located in Surfside Plaza in Nags Head! We offer a wide variety of delicious treats, including 28 flavors of hand-scooped ice cream, plus at least 5 non-dairy options so everyone can enjoy. We also have creamy soft serve in 4 delightful flavors, which we can even swirl together for a bit of extra fun. And if you're looking for something extra special, be sure

to try one of our standard or specialty milkshakes. Plenty of roomy parking, indoor and outdoor seating, and wait in line in the air conditioner.

We will be opening June 22 instead of the 16th. Our new freezers are coming in late, like everything else sent to the OBX. Haha. Gotta laugh I guess.

We still have some repairs and changes to the interior, and some changes to the deck to get done. And spend some family time in Richmond before the full craziness of the Summer.

The extra seating in the unit next door we are still having some talks with the town over, so we will hopefully have a date for that soon.

Here's the new floor. Makes the place seem twice as big!

Update 5/30: we will be opening June 8 with the repairs done and some upgrades to the main shop.

We are still working to get the unit next door ready for more seating and longer line in the AC. Need some final approvals from the Town, so it's moving slower than we thought.
