🍂 A Little Update About This Weekend! 🍂
After giving it a lot of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision not to attend this Saturday’s vendor event due to the weather forecast.
Unfortunately, I just can’t afford to take a financial hit two weekends in a row. As much as I wish I had a solid backup plan in case of rain, the reality is that preparing for these events takes a lot of time, money, and ingredients. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, I’m left bringing everything back home and hoping I can sell it all through a last min flash sale.
That’s definitely one of the challenges of running a home bakery without a storefront!! When an event gets rained out, I don’t have a physical location where customers can stop by and purchase everything I’ve already prepared. Instead, I’m left trying to sell it all through last minute sales, hoping I can make back what I spent on ingredients, supplies, and preparation.
As a single mom of two, every dollar matters. While I absolutely loveee attending events, meeting new people, and getting my treats out into the community, I also have to make decisions that protect my small business & family’s financial stability. Especially when I’m already working hard to catch up financially. ❤️
BUT that doesn’t mean there won’t be treats this weekend!!!
🍁 I’ll be hosting a Saturday Treat Sale instead!
I’ll be offering:
🍪 Pickup in Carolina Forest
🚗 Local delivery with a fee based on distance/mileage
🍂 A variety of freshly baked fall treats!
I’ll be sharing more details about what’s available soon!
I genuinely appreciate everyone’s continued support, patience, and understanding. Running a small business comes with a lot of behind the scenes challenges, and sometimes that means making decisions I really wish I didn’t have to make.
Thank you for continuing to show up for Seabreeze Treats & Sweets, whether that’s placing an order, sharing a post, recommending me to someone, or simply offering a few kind words. It all means so much!! ❤️
