What’s better than celebrating a 100th birthday? Celebrating FOUR of them! 🎉🎂❤️

We were so honored to be part of Baldwin House Senior Living Lloyd's Bayou’s 100 Club Celebration, recognizing four incredible residents who reached the century mark in 2026! And what better day to celebrate than National Dessert Day?! 🍪🍦

You may have noticed a new name mentioned alongside Sunset Swirl lately, so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce Boujie Bakery!

Boujie Bakery and Sunset Swirl are coming together to bring you even more sweet treats! While Sunset Swirl is known for our ice cream and fun, over-the-top creations, Boujie Bakery brings a whole new world of baked goodies to the mix.

For this special celebration, we combined a little of both worlds to create mini ice cream cookie sandwiches! We joined three other local bakeries in contributing bite-sized desserts to honor these amazing residents and their incredible milestone.

We’re so grateful to have been included in such a special celebration. Here’s to 100 years of memories, laughter, love, and, of course, dessert! ❤️

☀️🍦 EXCUSE ME, MICHIGAN… IT’S OCTOBER. 😂

Apparently Mother Nature forgot to flip the calendar, because it’s pushing 80 DEGREES in October and we’re certainly not about to argue with her! 🤷‍♀️☀️

So naturally, we’re celebrating this little identity crisis the only way we know how… WITH ICE CREAM! 🍦

🎃 Our Halloween sprinkles have arrived, because even if it feels like July, your ice cream can still dress for October!

🍎 Our Caramel Apple Pie Parfaits and Spiced Apple Ice Cream Nachos are getting the full fall treatment with WARM spiced apples! Hot cinnamon-spiced apples meeting cold, creamy ice cream? That’s a combination we can get behind! 🤤

🌭 And of course, the deep-fried Koegel hot dogs and crispy Skinny Dippers are ready for you, too!

Apparently Mother Nature has decided we’re not done with summer yet, and quite frankly, we’re not going to argue with her. 😂

This Saturday is looking like an absolute BEAUTY! 81°, sunshine, and a whopping 4% chance of rain!

So dig those shorts back out, ignore the pumpkins on your porch, and come get some ice cream! 🍦🌭🍟

We really can’t say THANK YOU enough. ❤️🍦

The support for Sunset Swirl started long before we ever opened our walk-up windows. While we were spending months turning this little abandoned building into what you see today, people stopped by, asked questions, told us how excited they were and shared in our excitement.

One of those people was Jimmy D — the unofficial Mayor of Wolf Lake and one of the very first to welcome us. Losing him this season was incredibly sad, and we feel lucky we had the chance to know him. His excitement for what we were creating is something we’ll always remember. ❤️

Jimmy was one of many who showed us early on that we had landed in a pretty special community — and once we opened those windows, you proved it.

You showed up, came back week after week, tried our crazy ideas, shared our posts, told your friends about us and gave us grace through the learning curves and hiccups of our first season.

A special thank you to Wolf Lake Campground and Third Coast Pizza for supporting the new small business in town from the beginning, and to our local schools for bringing field trips our way and allowing students to walk over for lunch. We loved seeing those groups of kids headed toward our windows!

You welcomed us before we were even open, and you never stopped supporting us once we were. ❤️

From our family and the Sunset Swirl crew, thank you for making our first season more than we could have hoped for. We’re so grateful to be part of this community.

And while our regular season has ended, we’re not done yet!

You made it VERY clear you weren’t quite ready to give us up. 😂

You asked. Some of you begged and pleaded. And heck… a few of you practically DEMANDED. 😂

That’s right. Apparently September 30th was a little too permanent for some of you, so we’re sneaking in a little BONUS Sunset Swirl this October! 🍂

We’ll have the hot dogs, Skinny Dippers, ice cream and fall favorites you’ve come to love — subject to availability, because technically we were supposed to be closed. 😂

Think of it as Sunset Swirl: The Bonus Round.

And if you’re driving by thinking, “Wait… are they actually OPEN?!” look for the giant Halloween archway out front! 🎃👻 Weather permitting, if the arch is up, WE’RE OPEN!

And to everyone who already knew the secret and managed to keep it quiet… you’re the real MVPs. 😂❤️

But seriously, we cannot thank you guys enough for an incredible first season. And you went and showed up BIG for our “last day” today — even in the rain! The turnout was amazing, and we couldn’t think of a better way to wrap up our first official season… or apparently, not wrap it up quite yet. 😂❤️
