Nambu: Our Story
Lowcountry Cuisine and Asian Fusion
Nambu is a Korean word meaning Southern or Southerner. We chose the name as a way to convey that we specialize in creating exciting Asian dishes while using the best ingredients the Lowcountry has to offer. We strive to use the freshest products available and you will notice our menus will always follow the seasons! Nambu utilizes LOCAL farms, bakers, and fishermen exclusively. We truly believe in quality and sustainability!
You may ask, "Where is your menu?", which is a fair question! Nambu is a Pop-Up Restaurant, which means we do not have a set "brick and mortar" location. Essentially, we takeover a local bar/restaurant/brewery's kitchen for a night (or a few) and run an exclusive limited menu. It will always be something new and enticing each time you experience a pop-up with Nambu. Not only does the location change but the menu does as well!
Our menus will consist of anything from traditional dishes from various regions and countries of Asia to Lowcountry southern favorites. Sometimes those cultures and components come together to create a flavor experience like you've never experienced before! At a Nambu event you can expect Asian classics like Bibimbap, Pad Thai, Dim Sum and Sushi to Southern staples like Shrimp and Grits, Perloo, and Fried Chicken!
