National Tell a Story Day calls for a true Seattle tale. 🎣

Back in 1938, waterfront character Ivar Haglund opened Seattle’s first aquarium on Pier 54. The crowds came curious and left hungry, so Ivar started serving chowder and fish ’n chips… and a local legend was born. Before long, Ivar was entertaining Seattle with folksongs and big, can’t-miss stunts (think octopus wrestling and clam-eating contests), all while turning Pier 54 into the home base for great seafood and even better laughs.

From that first location on the pier to restaurants across Seattle, one thing hasn’t changed: we still like our seafood classic and our humor a little salty. 😉
