As we approach our closing date, we would like to continue to provide food through catering and focus on a destination restaurant for dining experience on our property with a beautiful view of the Snake River. The land is owned and we have some of the equipment to make this work, but we need some capital to purchase the building to convert into a kitchen and more for the dining area we will build. The more money raised the quicker and more complete the facility will be and we will be able to keep a Filipino restaurant in Idaho.
If you love Lots, if you want to keep Filipino food available in the Boise area, and if you want a unique and beautiful dining experience available along the Snake River just a few miles from the Bruneau Sand Dunes, then donate now. It is with sadness that, Lot’s Filipino Food Restaurant & Bakery announces that our restaurant location will be closing by the end of August 2023 (Earlier if we sell our equipment). Lot started at the farmer’s market in 2011 selling her specialty breads. In 2016, she opened her food truck making her tasty Filipino food available at farmer’s market and for special order. We moved from the food truck to the restaurant, opening February 2019. The previous 4 years have had their ups and downs as we started strong only to struggle through the COVID requirements. Lot and I have put in long hours to keep the restaurant open but it has never gotten over the hump to sustain itself as it should. We now stand at a crossroads as to whether we should renew our lease or move on. While it has been a difficult decision, we have decided it is best to move on.
Lot and I would like to thank all the customers and other businesses who have supported us during our years in business. It has been wonderful to get to know you. We do not know what our plan is for the future (But we do plan on keeping our bread at the farmer’s market). The equipment may be up for sale if we have the right offer. Otherwise, we may hold onto it with the hope of building a certified kitchen for catering or even a dining experience on the farm, if we can get the money. For right now, we will be applying for jobs as we near our closing date. Again, thank you all for the last four years, the wonderful reviews, and the great friendships. It has been an honor serving you.
