Today is the day! We are so excited to be hosting this event and can’t wait to see so many families on this beautiful day! The event begins at 2:00 with hunts and games beginning right after! We have our spots reserved for our little egg hunters as well as our games ready. We cannot wait to see everyone here for our community Easter Egg Hunt!

TOMORROW IS THE DAY!!

We Couldn’t Be More Excited To See Everyone!

Our Easter Egg Hunt Starts at 2:00 pm but there will also be some old fashion fun games to sign up and play such as burlap sack races, duck duck goose, red light green light, and Mother May I. We will have free face painting set up for the kiddos and a set up to take pictures with the Easter Bunny!

There is still time to register your kiddos for the Easter egg hunt. It’s broken into 4 age groups where the kids will hunt and collect eggs and each group will also have the chance to find one golden egg to win a basket prize!

Our Food Trucks will be Rockastle County Rolling Stoves Food Truck, Silcox shaved Ice and more, and Poured With Purpose Lemonade Co. so we will have so many delicious options!!

This is free community event open to the public so come grab a bite off the truck, register your child for free by clicking their age on the link pinned at the top of our page and come enjoy this outdoor event for Rockcastle County!

We are so excited for our Free Easter Egg Event Sunday! If you haven’t signed your kiddos up yet the link to register your kids is pinned to the top of our page! Everything inside the event besides the food and drink is absolutely free. We are so happy to have Silcox shaved Ice and more, Poured With Purpose Lemonade Co. , and Rockastle County Rolling Stoves Food Truck. There will also be a set up with free pictures with the Easter Bunny as well as free face painting and our Free Easter Egg Hunt Event! Attention Everyone Who Was Planning On Dining With Us On Valentine’s Day!

It is with our deepest and most heartfelt regret that we notify you that our soft opening Valentine’s Dinner for Lair House Buffet & Grill has been canceled. With the severe weather and ice buildup it has delayed the progress we have been making on the restaurant and everything we were hoping to accomplish before the soft opening. After much consideration, we want to not have any type of opening half done, we want to open to be fully operational and show you all that we at the Lair House will have to offer and serve you at our best capabilities. We cannot wait to serve each and every one of you and hope you can come to appreciate the time, energy, and love we have put in to preserving a part of our Rockcastle County history.

We struggled through and did not make this decision lightly but also wanted to keep everyone’s safety in mind because the parking is still covered with ice and we are struggling to enter. We wanted to give every one enough time to make their Valentine’s Day plans with one of the many wonderful restaurants here in the county or to find a wonderful adventure wherever you and your partner may find yourself.

Again, we are so very sorry for the delayed progress! We were looking forward to our event Saturday but thank you to everyone who was considering us for our soft opening and we can’t wait to serve the many wonderful people of Rockcastle County and all of our other amazing guests! Hello Everyone!

We are so blessed with the overwhelming response we have already received thanks to Mount Vernon Rockcastle Tourism for our soft opening Valentine’s Dinner event happening Saturday February 14th!

To answer a few of your questions:

~NO RSVP or any type of booking will be taken or required! We are a historical country establishment and if our doors are open then you are welcome! If we are at full capacity then wait numbers will be given and names and numbers will be taken on our waitlist with how long you may be expected to wait just like many other restaurants and we are so excited to serve you!

~ The price of our Valentine’s dinner is a bit different and more than our regular buffet or kids buffet which we will announce in our coming soon post later on this week. The price for the Valentine’s buffet is 25.00 per person which includes access to a full salad bar, our entree and side bar, as well as our homemade dessert bar and includes your drink all while enjoying our romantic candlelit dinner with sweat heart music and historical atmosphere.

We can’t wait to meet and serve each of you! Thank you for your support and keeping some of our local history alive!
