It’s been a great week in Gonzales so far!

Had some tough luck along the way- drew a waspy chute do***ng steer first go, got a little long on the tie down run, switched calf horses and missed the first ribbon run… but that’s rodeo. You dust off, back in the box, and go again. To top it off, Braxton & his partner Jett placed 6th in Round 1 of Team Roping!

Round 2 came back better - got the steer turned, caught the ribbon calf but got flagged out (because apparently rules aren’t always rules 😅).

Up next:

🔥 Then it’s on to Challenge of the Champions!

Couldn’t be more proud of this kid and the work he’s put in to get here. The wins are great, but watching him handle the ups and downs with grit, faith, and determination means even more.

Our guy is STATE BOUND! 🔥🐂

We are beyond proud of Braxton Gallander and all of his accomplishments this season! From becoming the Region V Champion Chute Dogger and Co-Champion Tie Down Roper to earning his spot at the Texas State Finals; this rookie year has been one to remember.

We’re headed to Gonzales for the week to cheer him on as he competes against the best in the state! 🇨🇱

At 35-years-old, Michael Lane got the late call to replace Jess Lockwood after Round 4 of the PBR World Finals, he showed up at Dickies Arena the winningest cowboy in Velocity Tour history, but he hadn’t registered a World Finals qualified ride since 2015.

After bucking off of his first bull in Fort Worth, he covered Socks in a Box for the 88.05 points, the best score of his UTB career. Afterward, he said he just wanted to capitalize and keep riding bulls for his daughters.

Saturday night was the real story for Lane, though. He covered Let’s Roll for 89.5 points to win Round 7. Since making his Built Ford Tough Series debut at the Ty Murray Invitational in 2013, he had never won a round at the PBR’s top level.

There were no shortcuts for Lane, who made his PBR debut in the Touring Pro Division in 2008. Since then, he has racked up 746 total outs, 268 qualified rides, and 19 event wins, a majority of each of those coming in the PBR’s lower leagues.

But over the weekend, he was one of the best bull riders in the World. Only six different men won a round at the 2026 PBR World Finals. Michael Lane was one of them.

We’ve been quite while working over at The Rodeo Rose but this past week we loaded up the trailer and headed south to San Antonio for a little rodeo action!
Braxton entered in the Chute Do**in & had a runner of a steer but still got him down, the grit in that kid is something! He nosed his ribbon calf, got THIRD Heading in Team Roping and for the first time ever he heeled one down (well legged it but I’m still proud)!

Overall it was a great week and he came home with a check! Super thankful for his partners, support system, and all our friends/ family that were there to help in any sort of way!

We will see you next year San Antonio, it was fun!
