Hi everyone! 👋 I thought I’d introduce myself since I’m usually the one behind the scenes making posts, answering messages, and keep things running smoothly here at Brian’s.

My name is Katlyn, and I’ve been part of the Brian’s team for almost 9 years. I actually started here as a server, and over the years I’ve been lucky enough to grow into my current role as Front of House Manager.

These days I wear a lot of hats- I oversee our front-of-house staff, help keep the dining room running smoothly, work to solve any issues that come up, manage our catering services, and last year I had the opportunity to bring our liquor license to life—something I’m incredibly proud of.

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to know all of you. Whether you’re one of our regulars who comes in every week or you’re visiting for the first time, I want you to feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door. We aren’t perfect, and busy days definitely keep us on our toes, but I truly care about making sure every guest has the best experience we can provide.

I’m excited to start sharing a little more of the people behind Brian’s—not just our food, but our team, our customers, and the little moments that make this small town diner feel like home.

We just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. ❤️

After yesterday’s post, we have been absolutely blown away by the outpouring of kindness, encouragement, and support from this amazing community. Reading through all of your comments and messages has meant more to us than we can put into words.

Running a small, family-owned business isn’t always easy, but your grace, understanding, and loyalty remind us why we do what we do every single day. We know mistakes happen, and we’re grateful for customers who recognize that we’re human and choose kindness.

To everyone who took the time to leave an encouraging comment, share a kind word, or simply remind us that we’re supported—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support lifts up not only us, but our entire staff, especially the young people who are learning, growing, and working hard every day.

We’re incredibly thankful to be part of such a wonderful community, and we look forward to continuing to serve you with the best food, service, and smiles we can.

Tonight was a reminder that we’re all human.

Running a small business means balancing busy rushes, training new employees, and giving young people the opportunity to learn valuable life and work skills. That also means that, from time to time, mistakes happen. A forgotten side, a missed gravy, or an order that isn’t quite right is never our goal, and we truly understand how frustrating that can be.

When a mistake is brought to our attention, we will always do everything we can to make it right. We believe that’s part of taking care of our customers.

What is difficult, however, is when those mistakes are met with insults, profanity, threats, or being told that we should “go to hell.” No one—whether it’s a seasoned employee, a teenager working one of their first jobs, or anyone else on our team—deserves to be spoken to that way.

To our loyal customers: thank you. Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and for recognizing that behind every meal is a group of real people doing their very best. Your understanding and encouragement mean more than you know.

We’ll continue showing up every day, working hard, learning from our mistakes, and striving to give you the best experience we can. We aren’t perfect, but we promise we’ll always do our best to make things right.
