Our shop and public dig is open 9am-5pm every Tuesday-Sunday! Mining permits must be purchased at the shop on 11 Logan Gap Rd, Mt Ida, AR 71957 prior to digging. Dig our tailings & top surface veins! YOU KEEP WHAT YOU FIND!!! Pricing for permits:

What is the drive to the dig site like?
- It is about 3 miles to the dig location from the shop. The road is paved for 2+ miles until you get to Fisher Mountain. The road up the mountain (about 1 mile) is a private dirt road. We recommend considering the weather and your vehicles capabilities before arrival. We do not provide a shuttle. What tools should I bring?
- We recommend hand-gardening tools for tailings. Diggers are welcome to bring whatever tools they prefer as long as they are hand tools & safety precautions are taken.. Buckets for holding your finds are encouraged. Gloves are highly recommended. Is there water on the mountain?
- There is no running water on the mountain. We do not have any amenities available on the mountain besides a restroom. There is a place to clean off your finds with water at the shop if you would like! Will I get dirty?
- Most likely. How far is the walk to the dig site from where we park?
- There are places to park along the road directly across from the dig site and nearby the dig site. Please do not block the road with your vehicle or park your vehicle in front of the yellow gate on top of the mountain- our miners need to have full access to the roads at all times. Also emergency personnel. Can I bring my dog(s)?
- Dogs must be on a leash at all times. This is for your pets safety!
