After 25 years of bringing the best BBQ, and the best music, to Mt. Carmel, first as Wabash Ribberfest BBQ Championship and most recently as Wabash Roots'N'Que, will not return in 2024. We would like to thank the teams, the bands, the vendors, the sponsors, the volunteers, and most of all, the thousands who have attended over these many years. We've posted just a few of the memories below, hope you enjoy taking a look back!

Mt Carmel Christmas Uptown on Friday Dec 1 members of the Wabash Valley Arts Council "A Charlie Brown Christmas" show will be at The Wabash County Museum to raise money for the museum with their "Lucy Doctor-is-In" booth from 6-8pm. Stop by and see them.

...And even more happening....at "Mt Carmel Christmas Uptown" on Friday Dec 1, from 6-8pm catch "Lucy" (Amelia Fearn) and some of the Charlie Brown Christmas cast at The Wabash County Museum. The "Doctor is In" from 6-8 where you can ask Lucy for some advice and make a donation to the Wabash County Museum!!! And then plan to join us on Saturday and Sunday Dec 2-3 at The Brubeck, at 1:30pm, for "A Charlie Brown Christmas" with a "bearded" special guest at the end of the show.

We welcome JammOn Jaleigh’s and The Green Pig as Full Menu Food Trucks, Rosie Jean’s Sweet Tea & Jesus for, well, Iced Tea, and Sno Shack, featuring dozens of yummy Sno-Cone flavors! Two Stages at Wabash Roots’N’Que

The Wabash County Museum will host the Wabash Roots’N’Que “Workshop Stage” this coming Saturday, May 20th on Mt. Carmel’s Market Street. The Illinois Arts Council and Mt. Carmel Public Utility, along with the Museum, are partnering to make the Workshop Stage possible, on the following schedule:

11:30am - The Bates Girls performing Bluegrass & Country
12:45pm - Open Acoustic Jam Session w/Doug Hawf & Rob Krumm
1:45pm - Irish Musicians Circle
3:00pm - Blues Guitar Styles w/Robert Russell of “The Deciders”
3:45pm - Songwriting Workshop with “The Woolsey’s”

Food Trucks will be open all day (along with other vendors), and include “Jammon’ Jaleigh’s”, “The Green Pig”, “Rosie Jean’s Sweet Tea & Jesus” and “The Sno Shack”. Several Arts/Craft vendors will also be on hand. You might even want to come early and visit the Wabash County Farmers Market, open from 8am-11am.

The Wabash County Museum is located at 320 N Market Street, just 3 doors up from Merchants Park in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. There will be seating in the museum, but you’ll want to bring your lawn chairs, blankets & sunglasses for the open air performances at Merchants Park. Free Parking and Free Admission to all sessions.

Blues, Folk, Honky-Tonk, Tex-Mex, Western Swing, Cajun and more. Whatever your favorite, if you like Roots Music, sitting right in front of the Wabash Roots’N’Que Main Stage is where you’ll want to be on Saturday, May 20th! Hosted on the Harris Insurance Pavilion in Merchants Park on Mt. Carmel’s Market Street, WRNQ23 boosts the following schedule:

Food Trucks and other vendors will be open throughout the day, and the Wabash County Farmers Market is open from 8am-11am.
