Because we have a show in a few days and in light of recent events, I wanted to take a moment to update Pizza Pit fans. At last week’s show a debit card and a wallet containing $600 in rent money were stolen from two attendees, as well as my brand new phone (a Samsung Galaxy S5). The debit card was immediately canceled by its owner but the cash and phone cannot easily (or affordably) be replaced. Joseph and I started the Pizza Pit because we are passionate about this community and supporting DIY music. We have opened up our home countless times and spent hundreds of dollars in order to continue to support the community and its musicians. This theft is a total violation of our personal and ethical boundaries and is unacceptable. There were over 100 people at last week’s show, many of whom we had never seen before, however since it was a locals only show, odds are that the person who stole these items knows someone in one of the bands or is a friend of a friend. If you have any hints, clues or hunches about this situation please contact us as soon as possible.
Because of the theft we will be implementing a few changes for all upcoming shows.
1.
All attendees will be stamped at the door by Pizza Pit staff. NO EXCEPTIONS.
2.
Bags and personal belongings will be kept in a designated room which will only be entered by Pizza Pit staff. Any violators of this rule will be immediately removed from the premises.
3.
Please enter the Pizza Pit ONLY through the front door so that all attendees can be properly accounted for and stamped. The back smoking area will still be available, but please check in at the front first!
4.And as always clean up after yourself, be respectful, and have fun.
