Hey hi hello friends! Welp you cleaned me out again, thank you for that! There’s not a ton left, but there is enough to make it worth a stop. A couple soups, couple baked goods and a bunch of strawberry shortcakes! They’re not going to be around much longer so get ‘em while the gettings good. Maybe pick one up to drown your embarrassment for this goddamn cage match spectacle that is happening today. Light a candle and make a wish that this fascist mo********er doesn’t make it to 80 and a 1/4. Did you know today is Flag Day? Where are all those real patriots at to celebrate? Oh right, they’re busy rolling over enjoying a boot on their throat.

Deep breath. I’m off the internet as soon as I post this.

I’ll be out there painting and hopefully getting things in place to put a ROOF on the stand! I’m no engineer(just a dumb cook, please don’t make me cut angles 😬) so ignore me cursing and sweating to try to get this done.

This is the fourth time I’ve written this post, Instagram seems to have it out for me today.

Hey hi hello friends! theStand is up and running again for today, surprisingly there is some of just about everything left! It may or may not last all day, who knows.

I didn’t take any pics of the Sunken Fig cakes and I’m too lazy to go and do that now, so picture one in your mind. If you’re into them, which I think lots of you are, I’d advise to come grab one today. This winter hit my trees HARD and I’m honestly not sure what my fig harvest will look like this summer. I’m a little afraid I might not get any at all! These cakes are made with the last of my crop from last season, I froze them because I was DROWNING in figs and couldn’t use them fast enough.

Just a little public service announcement for those who care. The flower bouquets are the last of the peonies and poppies for this year as well.

I’ll be out in the yard today, say hi if you see me! I’ve had such a great time talking to everyone all weekend.

Ok folks I know I said I wasn’t posting the menu on socials anymore, but hear me out.

Because I post so rarely, I am very much out of the algorithm and not a lot of people are seeing my posts. This right here is why I am transferring everything to Substack. I don’t want to be at the mercy of FB and Instagram. I want to be able to post the menu and not think about it again until next week. The endless upkeep of social media drains me.

That being said, if you’re seeing this, it would be great if you could leave a comment. That engagement helps me move up in the social media hierarchy. If you have a friend or neighbor who’s been wondering when theStand will open, let them know we’re back up and running!
