Hi Folks. I hope that you are all well and looking forward to the holidays. I am taking a little down time. However, I am repairing some old equipment, and seeking some new equipment that will efficiently prepare for small events (10-20 guests).

On a number of occasions, I have been asked what style of BBQ do I provide. Really, I am not sure. I would have to say that it is definitely southern, and depending on what I am cooking, it can range from Carolina to Texas style.

My roots are definitely deep south, as this attached photo of me at about 7 years of age, outside the tar-paper shack, where I was then,living in rural Mississippi, will show. I got to see and eat some fantastic BBQ .

REGARDING THE PHOTO: it has only been in somewhat recent years, that I have been comfortable openly sharing about the socio-economic distanceI had to travel.

Hi Folks. I want to thank all of you who came out to "20-Main Bar" in AuSable Forks this past Saturday for our POP-UP BBQ event. It was a good time for me and I hope so for all of you who attended.

There were a few "Take-Out" orders for our signature creamy coleslaw. In response to this, we will begin providing the opportunity for our coleslaw and sweet corn spoon-bread to be purchased as single entities.

NOTE: we lan on working with the owners of "20-Main Bar" to provide our BBQ services on a limited basis (pre-announced) throughout this coming winter. So stay tuned.

Hi Folks. We hd a fantastic POP-UP BBQ event at "The 20-Main Bar" in AuSable Forks last Saturday. This place is very Special for me. I saw a lot of old friends and made some new ones. It was great to see Mauri who called in the 1st order after my post. I had not seen him since COVID-19. Also, Mike Anos stopped by and helped me over the entire time. Of course, we knocked down a few cold ones.

I will again be at "The 20-Main Bar" on October 14. This time, one of the meat items will be SMOKED BEEF BRISKET. I have never served brisket there before, so let me know if y`all would like to have it available.

WINTER MONTHS:
During the winter months (November - February) ], I will, periodically , provide some limited BBQ via my hotdog cart, at "20-Main Bar" as per future notice.

Hi Folks: NEW COLESLAW OFFERING--- Yes, I have been dying to tell you all, that in addition to my creamy mayonnaise based signature coleslaw, which most of you have come to love, DeepSouth BBQ has a new "Mayonnaise- free" vinegar based coleslaw that contains all of the ingredients in our original signature coleslaw and a couple other, except no mayonnaise.

I am adding this NEW coleslaw to our catering menu. However, at my next BBQ POP-UP at "20-Main Bar", in AuSable Forks on October 14, I will have some for your taste testing.

In the meantime, my old medicinal chemistry training compels me to say be careful, stay well---The COVID=19 season is coming.
