Well…we made the peer pressured trip to Newton American Legion Post 20 Smoke Off this weekend but left our A game at home.

Overall 18th
Oh and 4th in dessert. lol

Congrats to DR Smoke on the big GC and The Burnt Crow on RGC and everyone else that heard their name called.

Jim Messina and Tina and all the crew put on a fantastic event. We’ll definitely be back.

Well the trip to Hornersville wasn’t as productive as we would have liked but still an awesome weekend with some of our favorite people and field of more than 40 world class steak and ancillary cooks.

Thanks Dal Luther and Skyler Droke for the hospitality Friday night…even though it may have impacted my Saturday morning schedule. lol

It was a fantastic comp and can’t wait to come back next year. Save my parking spot. 😁

Not the day we hoped for but won’t complain.

Chicken 7th - 1st on our table

Brisket - still a work in progress but we’re moving in the right direction

Overall we’re happy with our cook this weekend even though we were the last ones to get there last night so all the normal stuff was way off and then hanging out on our porch for the Sara Evans concert and visiting.

IYKYK. Anyone want to come do this for me? While I love my new job, having to go to work everyday really cuts in to my schedule of events.
