Sometimes I look at these numbers at the end of the month and genuinely don’t understand how the hell I did it. Especially considering this is still just me, in my kitchen, one batch at a time.

Anyway… my mixer and I would like to file for PTO. 🫡

Plot twist: someone who would likely be your “competition” ends up being one of your biggest supporters. 🤍

There’s something really cool about having someone in the same industry who actually gets it. The long bake days, the markets, the wins, the failures, the “is my dough doing something weird or am I losing my mind?” conversations 😂 — and being able to lean on each other instead of treating everything like a competition.

And somehow the more we’ve gotten to know each other, the weirder it gets.

Bodybuilding backgrounds. Pilot husbands. Covered in tattoos. Chicken obsessed. Sourdough obsessed. Apparently sharing a wardrobe now…

Because we showed up to the same market dressed almost identically with our hair the same way without saying a WORD to each other beforehand. 😂

At this point it’s giving Spider-Man pointing at Spider-Man. 👉🏼👈🏼

There’s plenty of room at the table for both of us. And I’m really grateful this little sourdough world gave me a friend who just gets it. 🤍

Unfortunately, I prefer commercial bakery equipment that costs the same as a used car.
