Wednesday is here and tomatoes are in high demand at A Place For Hope: Recovery and Wellness Center & Food Shelf due to their nutritional benefits and adaptability in various cultural cuisines. We appreciate Master Gardener Emily Nelson and her family for their kindness in donating home-grown tomato plants. Photo taken by one of our dedicated volunteers.

Hunger is a year-round concern, but contributions to A Place For Hope: Recovery and Wellness Center & Food Shelf typically decrease between June and August. Therefore, we rely on supporters like you to help bridge this gap. We invite your business to participate in a food drive, collecting non-perishable items to stock our shelves. For more information, please reach out to Darrell Vasvick at [email protected].

The good news? You don't need a wilderness adventure to experience the benefits.

A walk around the block.
Time in the garden.
A bike ride.
Sitting in the sun with your morning coffee.

Small moments in nature can have a big impact on how we feel.

The families we serve frequently request dairy products, which unfortunately are among the least donated items. Donations of wholesome dairy foods such as milk, cheese, and yogurt would greatly benefit our neighbors facing food insecurity.
Donations can be dropped off between 10 am - 3 pm Tuesday thru Friday.
❤️ Every item helps keep dignity and hope on shelf for someone who needs it this week. ❤️
