Okay… we know. There have been A LOT of sweets on the Thena feed lately. But we promise, we just can’t help ourselves when the good stuff keeps showing up!!

A little Greek sweetness is happening right here in the village. 🇬🇷💙

We teamed up with our friends across the street at Moodus Ice Cream Parlor for the ultimate summer treat — baklava with your choice of vanilla or maple walnut ice cream, finished with a little honey because… obviously.🍯

And if you haven’t stopped by their shop yet, you’re missing out. Their ice cream is SO good, and they make a proper Greek-style frappé too.🇬🇷

Two Greek-owned small businesses, right across the street from each other, doing what we love and keeping a little bit of that Greek village feeling alive!!

So yes… more sweets. And no, we’re not sorry.

🇬🇷 A little Thena team update… we’re growing!!

As we head into a busy season, we’re looking for one more person to join our Thena Pita Bar family.

We’re a small, family-owned Greek spot here in Moodus, and we’re looking for someone who is dependable, positive, enjoys working with people, and wants to be part of a fun, hardworking team.

Since Thena is open Thursday through Sunday, our busiest and most important shifts are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays — so consistent weekend availability is a must.

We’re looking for someone (18+) to help about 15–20 hours a week with front counter, customer service, expo, and helping wherever the team needs an extra hand.

If you or someone you know is looking for a part-time opportunity with a local small business, we’d love to meet you!! ❤️

If you’ve never had bifteki before…you’re in for a treat.

Juicy Greek-seasoned beef patties tucked into a warm pita with our house-made spicy feta dip, crisp romaine, tomatoes, red onion, and (because we couldn’t help ourselves) a few oregano-dusted fries right on top.

It’s messy.
It’s cheesy.
It’s got a little heat.
And yes…you’re probably going to need extra napkins.
