Kevin Lamar was one of the first guys I had play out at the bar. He was an incredibly talented musician and a fantastic story teller. I thouroughly enjoyed all of his stories about him cutting up in my neighborhood on the NS, and playing all the bars up and down Airline, including the good old Cedar Lounge. I can only image the trouble he got into lol. He was a hustler, always ready to play a show, and well-versed in the gift of gab. We lost a goody there, and I'm glad I got a chance to experience him. He sure played a mean blues guitar, always told me how much he liked my bar, and every single time I saw him, he made me smile.

We've got some sad (BUT ALSO SWEET!!!) news, my beautiful people! Yesterday was officially Rachael C. Mathisen's last day at 333 Bar MTX. We will miss her very much but are SO EXCITED for her as she starts her new position at McDaniel’s Tavern on Lake Conroe. She might stop in for bingo this week just to give hugs and say farewell so if you see her, y'all wish her all the best and stop in over on the lake and say hello. A little birdy told me they got $5 frozen JD's so you know I'm for sure gonna pop in! 😁

Rachael, thank you so much for being with us as I got my first quarter under my belt. ❤ It was a steep learning curve and you've been nothing but gracious with my lack of knowledge and generous with yours. I appreciate you and know that you'll do great things over at McDaniel's and we can't wait to serve you on the OTHER side of the bar here in Dobbin so don't be a stranger!!
