Lone Star 1st Saturday Looks Good on Montgomery! This weekend we're back with 45+ local vendors filling , including lots of NEW faces to shop!
Our Lone Star Biz Kids Corner is back after a fantastic first month, plus we’ll have a bounce house, TruBeats, Sweet Jims Food Truck, Pop ‘N Stuff Kettle Corn, Slice of Amish grilled cheese sandwiches, and plenty more to eat, shop and enjoy.

Join the Historical Society for a special living-history tour “Voices From the Past” on Saturday, October 17th, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This free, family-friendly community event will share the history of Montgomery and the people, families, statesmen, and community leaders who helped shape our town.

Costumed reenactors will guide guests through two historic cemeteries: the “New” Montgomery Cemetery, founded in 1868, and the Old Methodist “Churchyard” Cemetery, founded in 1838.

Before the tour begins, the community is also invited to gather at the Montgomery “New” Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. for a special memorial remembrance and bench dedication honoring Pat Spackey, beloved as the “Texas Flag Lady.”

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn, remember, and celebrate Montgomery’s rich history together. Please share this post with family, friends, neighbors, and local history lovers!
