TamalesPlus Pretty good tamales for a white chick. Be surprised
We use fresh ground masa, sourced from Tortilleria El Rey in Chicago. No pre-made masa here!

We prepare all of our salsas, masa, meats, and fillings from scratch. We do way more than just tamales and love to have fun! If you've ever made or seen the tamale process, you'll get why :)
I use real fresh ground masa from Chicago. All the salsas are made fresh and in house. I love the traditional AND tweaking it up with some unexpected twists, like the Italian Beef. Expect to see different limited time options with unique flavor profiles. Our business is changing towards more pop-ups @ local breweries, and other businesses. Our events are updated regularly in the event calendar. We can still do pickup orders, we will ask for your flexibility in pickup times/locations. It is best to order well in advance. We can take pre-orders for pickup at any of our pop-ups! Look out for info on that soon! As we continue towards our goal of a REAL food truck/trailer - we will keep you updated. Be surprised with how good the unexpected can be!

Happy 4th Anniversary to one of our favorite places!!!!

Frankly, the community they have built Sturdy Shelter Brewing is amazing and in ONLY 4 years!

The new deck is a place to let your soul be at peace while your hand is wrapped around a cold b**r!

Sturdy Shelter is turning 4 this week and what better way to celebrate than hosting another Becoming Neighbors Community Conversation with Lumunos! Being a part of a larger community and holding up voices that are often unheard is an important value for us.

Please plan to come next Sunday and support our Immigrant Neighbors. Bears are on at noon so you can do both! Food by Tamales Plus 2-6!

We have some great music, food, a special b**r release, and anniversary dinner planned for this week, too. Stay tuned for the details or go to our website calendar today!

Cheers to Community and Thank You for the Last 4 Years of Support!

Giving a shout out to A All Temp!
Mary Carlson and her team are amazing - Josh was just at my house this morning for our fall furnace maintenance.

I admire Mary and what she has built so much.
The person you see in the Facebook posts, ads, etc is exactly who she is.

Iโ€™m proud to call her friend and truly - look up to her as a leader in business.
