After our summer camps hiatus we have some August pop ups for yall 🌸🌸

We will be at Simpkins pool party tonight (Saturday August 1st) from 6 to 8 pm. August 9 we will be at Santa Cruz Cider Company for Little Hill Sanctuary Vegan day
And August 15th we will be back at Simpkins for the Parks and Rex pool party (our favorite pool party!)

We are also collecting funds to pay for school scholarships for a couple of children in Venezuela. So we will be announcing a fundraiser shortly.

A good day disrupts grief. Pauses heaviness. I have so much gratitude to and the youth. It made my heart so happy to cook an Indian meal with them as one would cook at home with family 💕

I really want to thank everybody that has donated. People that lost their homes and everything have been living in make shift tents and even the tents that are available cannot withstand the rain.
Today with your donations we bought two tents for families in Caracas (it’s all that they can find), a lot of medications, (ibuprofen, blood pressure medication and such), hygiene products and balls for kids to play that seem to be a hit every time.
We also sent ten tents to Florida to be charted to Venezuela. And put a word out to and to see if we can get tents donated for that. If you can send them too an @ and let’s see if we can get some good tents for families!

A little help goes a long way and I really am so grateful for all your help ❤️‍🩹

Alrighty lovely people! Because I have no shame in my game. And I genuinely believe that you gotta shoot your shot I am here asking for donations to buy tents, crafts and other necessities for the encampments in Venezuela.
Pictured here is my best friend from childhood and her family, who have been going out and buying things (food, toys, ice cream, dog food) to distribute to the makeshift camps in Venezuela.
Now we need tents as people lost their homes and there’s no clear path on what will happen next.
If you will like to donate please dm me for Venmo or Zelle. I’ll make sure we share all receipts and pictures.
One good thing in a string of sh*tty days can disrupt trauma. This is why I am a firm believer in day centers. When you are experiencing such overwhelming desolation tomorrow might seem so far away but today a helping hand can reach out to tell you, for this brief moment we wish you a little joy, a little warmth and shelter ❤️‍🩹

Happy paddle out day 💕

It took me some time to figure out that my work had to align with people more than organizations, more than ideas, and more than any sense of pride. That good people would guide you and do you right. And in this quest I came about Bella and this has been such a gift to me.
The paddle out is a gift that sprung out of her heart and I am so glad to play a small part in it. For seeing so many happy faces come to the water in community, in sanctity and in hope renews my own commitment towards our liberation. It is possible. The antidote to so much violence and ignorance and hate is love. And this love is so powerful that it will carry us unflinchingly to safety.

Today as I stood in community I thought this madness is just a point in time. But do know that whatever you are going through you don’t have to experience it alone. There’s so many people out there with their hand and arms stretched out, just waiting to reach you.

Because We’ve been positively bedeviled by meetings and works etcétera, it took me a minute to post the menu for aprils vegan challenge. This is important to me because, well, I love me some challenge, but more urgently because in this chaos there are people ( ) still holding the line for compassion and what they love. And who doesn’t love that?

So to honor this and my own need for comfort we will be offering three new arepas:

🧙‍♂️Speak FRIEND and enter
Slow braised tofu corned beef style

🫓 Second breakfast

Soy carne con papas, avo and pickled onions

🌶️ Balrog
A hot chipotle sh*take and button mushroom carne with slaw

We will also offer our jackfruit chicken and domino 💕

See you tomorrow (Saturday the 4th at noon) for vegan day at along other lovely vegan vendors
