The business is one of the oldest and largest ice cream makers and distributors in Michigan. Orville Hutchison started out delivering milk by horse-drawn wagon to customers in the Monroe area in 1934. Four generations later, Independent Dairy delivers milk in a frozen form that goes by such names as Moose Tracks, Superman, Mackinaw Island Fudge, and Mint Chocolate Chip. The business is now one of the oldest and largest ice cream makers and distributors in Michigan.

Amaretto cherry- smooth Amaretto ice cream loaded with marachino cherries, and a thick fudge swirl.

Chocolate malt supreme- creamy chocolate malt ice cream with malt balls.
