It's been 2 weeks since I caught a swarm from a friend's hive. I checked them about 6 days ago and was feeling discouraged because the queen wasn't showing any signs of laying eggs. I was told to wait till about 2 weeks out to check on the queen... Welp I went out tonight and we have eggs!!! I found my accidental honey frame was built out fully with extra comb and in that frame you can see "rice" in the bottom which is a day old egg!!! Yay we have a laying queen! Now to keep feeding them sugar so they can build up some more frames! The eggs are usually easier to find on deep frames because the foundation is black instead of white like on a super frame. But alas I still found them :) it's a happy day!
