Little Saturday PSA ā˜€ļø

We’ll be closed tomorrow night for the holiday, so if you’re wanting your Craft fix this weekend… tonight’s the night.

We’ve also been deep in tiki cocktail testing for our upcoming Neon Jungle pop up and things are getting tropical around here real fast. Coconut, pineapple, smoke, fire, neon chaos, all the good stuff.

The FOH aren’t the only ones around here doing cool things.

If you’ve followed us for a while, you already know we care a lot about education and continuing to grow in this industry. We’ve been lucky enough to take part in a lot of incredible programs over the years, from classes and certifications to bigger hospitality experiences that continue to shape how we approach what we do at Craft.

Most recently, Michael completed an 8-week Irish whiskey certification and finished at the top of his class, which earned him a trip to Ireland to continue learning firsthand.

He got to tour Midleton Distillery, spend time learning more about the history and production behind Jameson Irish Whiskey, meet people in the industry from all over, and stay in a literal castle.

Opportunities like this are a huge reminder that hospitality can open doors to experiences you never expected them too.

We’re really proud of him and really grateful to Lush Life Productions for continuing to create these kinds of opportunities for people in the industry.

Big big BIG thank you to and !!

Anyway. More life updates soon because apparently we’ve been busy. (FOH took a pretty cool trip to Dollywood I haven’t shared yet).

A little Saturday reservation PSA šŸ’š

Earlier this week we had several large party reservations booked for tonight, so we rearranged seating and closed reservations early because we believed we were close to fully booked.

Unfortunately, most of those parties canceled since I checked them last night.

So first things first
Reservations are back open for tonight if you tried to book earlier this week and couldn’t! WOOHOO!

Second
This is just a reminder that reservations really do matter to small places like ours. We schedule staff around them, prep around them, and sometimes turn other guests away because of them.

We understand that plans change. Life happens. We just ask that you pllleeeaasseee try to cancel with more than 24 hours notice so we have time to reopen those tables for other people.

A lot of restaurants use cancellation fees or card holds during busy weekends and events, and we haven’t gone that route because we’ve always wanted reservations to feel easy and accessible. But situations like this definitely make us understand why so many places do it.

Also… I do pay for a reservation system every month šŸ˜‚ so it’s always nice when it actually gets used. But here we are with this dilemma now.

We’d love to fill those seats back up tonight. Thanks for understanding and continuing to support small restaurants like ours. šŸ’š
