Nara Organics has identified a potential risk of infant botulism related to its Powdered Infant Formula and has issued a voluntary recall for all lots of the product.

TGU Towner School hosted a Wellness Exam & Sports Physical Day this week, and we were proud to be part of it! Staff from First District, the UND Center for Family Medicine Residency Program, ND Health and Human Services, and CHI St. Alexius provided physicals, vision screenings, fluoride treatments, vaccinations, and mental health visits.

Special thanks to Dr. Joan Connell of CHI St. Alexius and State School Nurse Consultant Heather Kapella, RN, whose grant efforts helped make the event possible. It was a great day and a team effort—thanks to everyone who helped!

Do you recognize Zach from last week's post celebrating his Spirit of Public Health Award? 👏

He's been hard at work representing North Dakota on the national stage. At this year's Preparedness Summit, Zach was asked to help represent North Dakota's public health emergency preparedness and response section.

The session focused on the readiness of emergency response supplies, how North Dakota's statewide system operates, and how it may be adapted to meet future needs as public health programs continue to evolve.
