This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Lexi! 🌾

Lexi has been part of the Rooted family since the very beginning, starting as a server and now also bringing her talents behind the bar. As she gets ready to head off on her next adventure at the end of June, we couldn’t let the month go by without celebrating her.

Her menu favorites? The Sweet Pea Gnudi and the Orange Cheesecake. Her favorite part of Rooted? The staff, or as she calls them, the Rooted band.

Fun fact: When she’s not at Rooted, Lexi loves camping, hiking, and knitting, sometimes all three at the same time. ⛺️🥾🧶

Before Rooted was a restaurant, it was part of Minooka history. 🕰️

Located inside the original Minooka post office, our building is one of the few on Mondamin Street to survive the Great Fire of 1887. What was once a prairie hill overlooking the Illinois River Valley is now a space where history, community, and great food come together. 🍽️ 🌾

Every visit is a chance to experience a little piece of Minooka’s past while making new memories around the table. 🤎

Rooted was built on a simple idea: great food starts with great ingredients.

Chef/Owner Eddie Duracka’s passion for cooking began at a young age, watching cooking shows with his grandmother and dreaming of one day creating memorable dining experiences of his own. After years of working in acclaimed farm-to-table kitchens and learning from some of the industry’s best chefs, Eddie returned home to Minooka to put down roots with his family and bring his vision to life.

Today, he leads the team at Rooted with a commitment to fresh, seasonal ingredients and partnerships with local farmers and producers who help make every dish possible.

We’re proud to have Chef Eddie at the heart of everything we do. 🤎 🌾👨🏼‍🍳
