Good afternoon! A quick update. Today Mick (Papa) celebrates his 5th anniversary of his kidney transplant. Thank you for your love and support through the years. You mean more to us than we have words to express.

Good morning Papa's fans and family. Today is day 101 for Papa's new kidney. We are thrilled with the health of the new kidney and that it is doing everything it should!
The past three months have been a rollercoaster ride of joy and concern and ultimately relief and gratitude. In the beginning there were challenges but now each day is better than the last.
Really good news is Mick has received his second COVID vaccine shot. While his condition as a kidney transplant recipient may not allow for all the protection from the vaccine as we would like he is fully vaccinated! We will continue to use caution, avoid unvaccinated people as much as we can and probably mask up for some time to come.
All in all life is good and we are happy to share our news with you. Thanks for the support and good wishes we have received along the way!

Good morning Papa’s fans. Today we are sending you a note regarding Mick/Papa’s health. As many of you know Mick has been waiting for a kidney transplant for several years. On Friday he was told there may be a kidney available. On Saturday he checked i to Hennepin Healthcare and early Sunday morning he received his kidney transplant. The surgery went well and today the transplant team is very pleased with the function of the new kidney.
As you can imagine we are beyond happy and relieved! A whole new life is ahead for Mick. Thanks to all of for your friendship and support over the years. It’s wonderful to be able to share this good news with you!

We had the best time this morning visiting the Funny Looking Horse gallery here in Victory (3855 Thomas Ave N). The art in the gallery is amazing. You should really check it out! Joshua Nelson is the owner of the building and the artist/curator of the exhibit. He did wonders rehabbing the space.
We know many of you like to support local businesses and the arts. Please join us in supporting Joshua and his efforts to build community.

Interesting reading in today's Strib regarding the challenges restaurants are facing regarding the pay for employees. When we opened Papa's people would often come in and look for a menu board. Most were pleasantly surprised that we offered table service. Which do you prefer, table service or counter service?

Good afternoon Papa's fans! Of all the things we miss about Papa's the most important was our friends and neighbors who supported us. Fortunately for us, we see many of you around the neighborhood and many times in other restaurants, cafes, and bars! Isn't it great to live in a City with so many options?! We are always happy to see you. Many times you will tell us that you miss Papa's and for many reasons. If you have a moment, we would love to know which was your favorite menu item. It will be great to hear from you!

A special thank you to all of Papa's loyal customers and those of you who were able to visit us when you were able. Today is a sad day for the family and staff of Papa's as the restaurant is closed permanently. It has been a great 7+ years serving the community and we truly appreciate the support, friendship, and now the memories. Thank you.

Ahhh...autumn in the air. Time to come in and enjoy a great dinner at Papa's. Spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread is just the ticket. Cheesecake tops it off - yummy!

With the blowing winds causing havec on the patio stop into Papa's and enjoy the dining room tonight. A relaxing dinner of tomato pie or spinach salad and cheese bread! Don't forget the gelato - a prefect end to your dining out!

A sudden breeze and dark clouds bring a fall coolness to us. Need a warm up? Papa's has amazing spaghetti and the lasagna is so good you won't believe your taste buds. Papa's is open until 10 tonight - drop by for a great supper early or late!
