At 30 years old, I did the hardest thing I’ve ever done…
I moved out of the apartment I had lived in ALONE since I was 20… and moved back in with my parents.
Not because I failed, but because God told me to.
And honestly? It hurt.
I had spent years building a life that looked like independence. I was used to having my own space, making my own decisions, paying my own bills, and figuring things out on my own.
But God was asking me to surrender it.
He told me, “Daughter, do it again. This time with Me.”
So I obeyed.
I surrendered my finances.
I surrendered my business.
I surrendered my plans.
I surrendered my timeline.
And what I couldn’t do in YEARS of trying to build this business on my own, God began to catapult in just a couple of months.
And the craziest part?
The breakthrough didn’t start when everything finally worked out.
It started when I said yes before I could see how it would work out.
Sometimes obedience looks like going backward to everyone else…
when God is actually positioning you to go forward.
I don’t know what your “set back” moment looks like, but if God is asking you to surrender something, don’t let pride convince you that obedience is beneath you.
What looks like a setback in the natural can be an instruction from God in the spiritual.
Daughter, do it again.
This time with Me. 🤍
