Cellist Peter J. Thomas, a Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra member since 2008, performs as a one-man band on electric cello, layering classical, pop, rock, and metal through live looping, effects, and vocals.
A Wisconsin Public Radio resident artist and former member of I'm Not A Pilot and the Keith Pulvermacher Band, he has toured with Peter Gabriel, The Eagles, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, and Ben Folds. He's a WAMI String Player of the Year and Shepherd Express "Best of Milwaukee" winner, performing at venues from Summerfest and SXSW to intimate Midwest stages.
