We will be celebrating Milwaukee's 5th Anniversary on Saturday September 12th, at 1037 W. Juneau Ave. Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

We will commemorate the milestone with a limited release of three different beers.

Happy Heron Pale Ale

Happy Heron is a throwback to the early days of Central Waters, one of our original beers brought back from the Archives. It carries all the classic flavors you know and love, but brewed with modern hopping techniques that coax the most out of the hops, making them expressive on the nose and across the palate.

Starting today, Happy Heron will be available exclusively in Milwaukee for the next two weeks, on tap and in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans to go.

Double dry-hopped with El Dorado leading the charge alongside Idaho 7, Citra, Strata, and Nectaron, Topwise is everything a hazy IPA should be: layers of ripe tropical fruit, a soft pillowy body, and a lush, juicy finish.

Meet Hikari, our refreshing Japanese-style rice lager that will soon be your new seasonal favorite.

We built this one around two really cool hop varieties. The first is Lorian, a low-alpha hop from Indie Hops in Oregon, bringing notes of wildflower, honey, and sweet hay. The second is HBC 1134, a new experimental variety from the Haas Breeding Company out of Washington, loaded with floral qualities that pair perfectly with the jasmine rice we brew with.

The result is a summertime crusher that’s light, expressive, and made to be enjoyed outside.

Hikari is light, refreshing, and low enough ABV to keep the good times going. The kind of beer you crack open tailgating before the game, floating on the boat, or just hanging outside with friends.

This label has an 80-year-old story behind it.

The artwork on our Hikari label was inspired by a Japanese rice paper print that our brewer’s wife’s great grandparents brought back from Japan, one that’s been hanging in the family’s staircase for the past 20 years. He wanted to bring something that personal into this special beer.

We kept the spirit of the original and swapped the cranes for blue herons, to root it right here in Wisconsin.
