Most of the time the little things are the biggest deal; this Cream City brick is a detail that means a lot to us at the café and to the history of Milwaukee! Have you heard the story yet?

The process started with a clay found in this area, in the Menomonee River Valley and on the western banks of Lake Michigan. The clay was shaped and fired into bricks and these bricks were used to build Milwaukee in the mid and late 19th century. The bricks that have built this boiler room back up have been restored and reused to keep Milwaukee strong and beautiful.
