🧶❤️ WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR MILTON CROCHET CLUB ❤️🧶
Today was another wonderful gathering filled with new faces, generosity, learning, connection, and so much heart.
We started by welcoming and meeting many new members. Several new people joined us, signed up, sat with the group, started crocheting, and immediately became part of our projects and our community.
Then came one of the biggest moments of the day — completing our Bayhealth Hospital Project.
Together, our members donated:
36 shawls
22 baby blankets
18 lap blankets
That is 76 handmade items in total and an incredible 1,672 volunteer hours of work. ❤️
We want to thank absolutely everyone who helped make this possible — those who donated yarn, those who crocheted, those who volunteered their time, those who helped spread the word, shared our posts, connected us with others, encouraged us, listened to our ideas, and simply supported us along the way. Every kind of contribution mattered.
We were so happy to welcome JoAnne from Bayhealth Volunteer Services, who met our members and explained how these handmade items will be distributed and used within Bayhealth. She was so happy to meet the group, and she even brought beautiful Bayhealth pens for our members. Thank you, Joanne, for spending the afternoon with us and helping our members understand where their work is going.
After we officially handed over the Bayhealth items, Miss Patricia Wilcox helped us begin our next community project by teaching members about making patriotic blankets for veterans through Delaware Hospice. ❤️🤍💙
And then we welcomed our guest speaker, Patricia Ciano.
Patricia spent time with our group sharing her story, her life experiences, and her motivation for continuing to move forward through change and challenge. Her message touched so many of us and brought such wonderful energy to the room.
And we have some very exciting news Patricia Ciano also offering Milton Crochet Club members the opportunity to attend a free class at her yoga studio Hiatus24 ❤️
We are so grateful for this generous gift to our members and will share more details soon.
And a very special thank-you to Amy, one of our board members, a professional photographer, talented fiber artist, and Miss Wheelchair Delaware, for joining us and generously volunteering her time to take professional photos of this special day. ❤️📸🧶
Amy brings so much creativity, encouragement, and heart to our Crochet Club, and we are very grateful to have her as part of our board and our community.

Today was such a perfect example of what our club is becoming.
