Today, our son Henry was awarded best player in his group at soccer camp. Charlie really wanted to win it too, and he may have gotten a little sad.

Henry noticed.

So he gave Charlie the medal and told him he could have it.

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it.

UPDATE: had a good conversation with Spectrum Business. Result is substantial cost savings— upgrading from 400bps to 1 gig, and getting an invisible WiFi battery back up that attaches to the modem so that when WiFi goes out, it automatically kicks on and we can operate as normal for up to 8 hours. We do utilize our own ASUS router as well already and have a mesh system. We have everything in the shop wired directly via Ethernet cables to a switch as well.

They did confirm that spectrum is repairing several “nodes” in the area that were damaged in recent storms (not due to the sunshine today).

We have zero issue with our POS and are fully integrated at all of our locations.

Hey Spectrum… we’d really appreciate it if our internet didn’t go in and out multiple times per day for the past several days — including being out right now due to “weather.”

It’s actually lovely outside. A few clouds, some sunshine. Very suspicious weather behavior.

Our customers would like to skip the line and use our app. Our baristas would like to use our expensive tech to manage orders. And we would like to keep caffeinating and feeding our community without having to explain why the internet is once again taking a personal day.

If we have to break up, Spectrum, it’s because of you, not us.

How many times do we need to have this conversation? You keep promising you’ll change. Maybe T-Mobile was right… if someone’s just not that into you, maybe it’s time to move on.

We’ll give you one more chance, against our parents’ better judgement.

Woohoo! Our internet is back up and working, so we are back in business.

Speaking of online ordering — we’ve noticed there are a few cellular dead zones around Millersport where online orders may not go through if you try to submit them while passing through one.

Sometimes even our parking lot can be a dead zone.

We’ve also noticed that Lancaster St. and Canal Rd. is a rough spot. In fact, today while talking to the Spectrum tech and driving through that area, the call dropped.

So if you place an order through the app, especially while you’re out and about, we recommend checking your order history in the app to make sure the order actually went through.
