I was reading some comments about Gun Lake Cocina Restaurant.
A couple of people were comparing Cocina with Agave Azul.
I wish Agave Azul the best and welcome them to our community. They are located in a very good spot. Therefore they may have more traffic than Gun Lake Cocina especially during the winter months of the year. Eating there doesn’t hurt me. It’s nice that you have a choice.

We are used to running restaurants in Chicago and in Grand Rapids where there are almost in every corner Mexican restaurants or taquerias.
Because of our location we are in a seasonal business area like many other restaurants in touristic areas of Michigan like South Haven, Saugatuck. We must also recognize the customer patterns. Even the restaurants in the casino vary their hours opening certain hours and days and that is for the same reason we do.

We do our best in offering fresh, homemade, authentic Mexican food and a good blend of American and Mexican breakfast. Being a restaurant owner has helped me to develope compassion and understanding for my counterparts. When I have a complaint I bring it to the restaurant staff’s attention for constructive criticism. I am hesitant to write a bad review.

I thank all of our regular customers for supporting us all these years.
I wish the best to the whole community.
