Meet Jax! As part of our ongoing partnership with Homeward Bound to help find homes for our furry feline and canine friends, we hope that you come check out this wonderful Lady!

Meet Jax! This lovely 8-year-old cat has the loudest, rumbliest purr, and all she wants is to settle into a calm and cozy home with her people. She loves pets, brushing, affection, and knows her limits when she wants some time to herself. She takes her noon naptime VERY seriously! Jax might need a little help jumping onto your lap, but once she's there, she'll curl up and never leave.

We've been told that Jax doesn't get along with dogs, but we have seen firsthand that she is great with other cats. She arrived in a transfer from the Darlington County Humane Society in South Carolina after being overlooked for a very long time. Sweet Jax is considered special needs, since she is a senior and on a special diet. Shelter staff would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

This is Charlie 6.0. He is descended from a legendary line of Charlies. In 2004, when the Sox were down 0-3 to the Yankees in the ALCS, we carved the original Charlie as a desperate good luck move. The Sox went on to win the next four games and the World Series. Many across New England attribute this to Charlie, of course. Over the next two decades were born Charlie’s heirs whenever the Sox had their backs against the wall. Charlie has an impressive record of roughly 26-5, at last count. And here we are again, our backs against the wall, but Charlie 6.0 (carved at 7:00pm) is here to help assure a victory. Before each game, Charlie takes a shot of Guinness for good measure. Alright Charlie, let’s do this!

Dear Friends & Neighbors, As a follow up to the issues that transpired last Thursday on College Night, I am pleased to announce that the students responsible for the physical damage came in and apologized over the weekend. The two students who needed to be broken up (resulting in and injured employee) have also come in to apologize for their behavior. Additionally, several other students and members of the administration have also stopped in to express their disappointment and concern. The speed with which those responsible took full accountability was appreciated. Of course, the hope is to get to a place where these things don't happen in the first place, and we are going to work with the administration to find positive and proactive solutions. Hello Everyone! I would like to start this post by making it very clear that 99% of our College Night patrons are exceptional ladies and gentlemen who behave responsibly. That said, we had some serious issues last night, perpetrated by a select few, that need addressing if we are to continue on with College Night. First and foremost, to the two individuals who needed to be separated in the back hall, leading to an employee being injured, you are not welcome back.

To the person who ripped a speaker out of the bathroom ceiling and then walked away with it, we would like you to come forward, apologize and pay to replace it. And the same goes for whoever damaged the dartboard cabinet.

At the end of the day, this business and our employees are part of a community that has welcomed you in as neighbors and friends. To disrespect any local business or residents is absolutely unacceptable and reflects badly on the entire student body and institution. To those who acted immaturely, destructively and without regard for common decency, let’s sit down and review your decision-making and what it means to be a responsible citizen. On our end, we’ll be reviewing whether or not it is in our best interest to keep College Night going because of actions like these.

Meet Lola! As part of our ongoing partnership with Homeward Bound to help find homes for our furry feline and canine friends, we hope that you come check out this wonderful Lady!

Meet Lola! A timid, medium-sized mixed breed. This one-year-old girl is in search for a stable, loving home where she gets a lot of attention and exercise. It's taken her some time to warm up to staff in shelter, but her wiggly, goofy side is coming out more and more - especially in the presence of another dog. We would love for Lola to find a home with a canine companion! We're unsure of her history with cats or children. Playing with toys is a favorite activity of Lola's and she loves romping around in the yard. Her well-equipped nose keeps her busy when she's out and about.
