It's that time of the month...well I'm at least a week behind. haha But I'm excited to announce that our employee of the month! Our Above and Beyond Recipient for September is Cheriah Jacobs!

By a large vote she wins the September vote! She is an asset in any restaurant because of her awareness. She is restaurant oriented as a person and has a unique passion for cocktail creation and the bar, she is a team player at heart and always a mentor to our younger employees. She is one of our newer employees and has adapted well to our culture and takes great care of our guests. Chef Sarah says one of her favorite things about Cherish is her sense of humor and that Cheriah also has a unique point of view that Chef Sarah learns from often.

Cheriah and her husband Seth have a sweet little girl and a baby on the way. We have an active betting board in the backroom of the restaurant as to when she will deliver...hey it's crazy what restaurant people do. haha

She's always smiling and such a joy to have on our team. Congrats Cheriah!

October is looking pretty delicious at the Angry Donkey!

New month, new flavors, and a few dishes we think you're going to fall in love with! Our October specials are bringing a little comfort, a little creativity, and a whole lot of flavor to the table.

From our Fried Cornmeal Biscuits served with bacon jam, whipped apple butter, and hot jalapeño honey to our Crawfish French Bread, we're starting things off strong!

Our Candied Bacon Brunch Sandwich is giving us every reason to make lunch plans, while our Beef Shortrib Manhattan and Smoked Sausage & Pierogies are bringing all the cozy, hearty flavors we're craving this time of year.

And because we couldn't forget something sweet… our Dark Chocolate & Blueberry Layer Cake is the perfect way to finish!

I've had my challenges in life, don't get me wrong. But I truly feel very blessed by so many things in my life, both from my past and now. Giving back is one small way I can try and return all that has been given to me, and hopefully show kindness to others.

I reached out to Chris Ward with Healthy Communities months ago to see if we could help him with any of his amazing causes he supports and leads.

This past Saturday we, along with the help and support of: Prep N Go, Shoup's Country Foods, Milky Way of Frankfort and Coco Beans Coffee helped bring food and drinks to all who came to participate and watch the Battle of the Badges.

The weather was perfect and it was great to meet so many men and women who keep us all safe and go voce and beyond everyday! Congratulations to FD1 for the win! My son is a firefighter at East Madison near Muncie so I was secretly rooting for them...shhh don't let it out!

Thanks for letting us celebrate all you do for our community!
