Áreas de Pedraneira Albariño, from Eulogio Pomares, one of the important names behind modern Albariño in Galicia.

Dehesa de los Canónigos, a very special bottle for me this summer. In memory of my good friend Iván Sanz Cid, his wife, and their children, whom we tragically lost together. My deepest love and respect to their family and to everyone at Dehesa de los Canónigos. This one means much more than wine to me.
Solideo, another serious expression of Ribera del Duero from Dehesa de los Canónigos.

Hey guys, JC here from Happy Wine Calle Ocho.
This Tuesday, August 11, we’re tasting five wines that will explain Ribera del Duero better than any wine class.
We start with something many people don’t expect from Ribera: a white wine from Valduero, made with Albillo Mayor, the region’s principal white grape.
Then we have two wines from Carmelo Rodero, followed by two classics from Matarromera.
Five wines, five different expressions of Ribera del Duero.
Tuesday, 7 to 9 PM. Free tasting at Happy Wine Calle Ocho.

Jeff Bundschu from Gundlach Bundschu is coming to Happy Wine Calle Ocho.
One of the oldest family wineries in California, since 1858. Pioneers of organic and biodynamic farming in Sonoma.

And somehow… Jeff is also a DJ 😂

So yes. we’re pouring legendary California wines while the owner is behind the DJ booth.

Mother’s Day 2026… another one in the books. ❤️

Cooking, recommending wines, taking reservations, orders, handling the offic Joanna — or “Mama,” as our great team calls her was there today, just like she is 365 days a year.

No vacations. No pretending. No events. Just sacrifice, hard work, love, and dedication to keep this dream alive.

To the mothers on our team who came in today to work and provide for their families: respect. You are the positive energy that gives us strength to do it all again tomorrow.

And our kitchen tonight… WUAOOO. Los magos del sabor. 🔥
