We are looking for the perfect person to join our team at Duke’s!

Job requirements & Info:
🩵Available between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM (4-8 hour shifts, give or take a few hours either way on occasion)
🩵Occasional Saturdays
🩵15-30 hours/week
🩵High paced, active environment often; this person should be able to multi task and be willing to be on their feet a lot
🩵Must be willing to learn, be flexible, and accept direction and guidance
🩵Friendly and outgoing; every customer should feel loved
🩵Patient and gracious with co-workers
🩵Required to obtain Food Handlers License within 20 days of hire

If you have ever stood in line at Duke’s, THANK YOU. 💜

But an extra big thank you to our Friday visitors, because y’all KNOW what you’ve signing up for before you even walk through the doors!

You pull into Duke’s after school on a Friday, see the cars, see the people, probably question your decision for half a second…and then get in line anyway.

You guys are the real MVPs.

Even with lots of hands on deck, it just takes time to get everyone checked out and every order made. We ARE getting better. We ARE getting faster.

Until we get 63 milkshakes in a row and ole Martha is back there fighting for life. She tries her very best to keep up, but good golly, she is slow sometimes.

Most of you see our effort. You see how hard this little team works. You see how much we love having you here and how genuinely grateful we are for your business. You’re patient with us. You laugh with us. You tell us not to worry when we apologize for the wait. And I hope you know how much that means to us.

And if you don’t feel that every single visit regardless of how busy we are, please know this: you are loved, and you are appreciated.

And to our line warriors…thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for continuing to show up at all hours.

I know you’ve had a long day, too. I know standing in a line probably wasn’t how you dreamed of spending part of your Friday afternoon or Tuesday morning. But the fact that you choose to stand there anyway—to support this little coffee shop, the people behind the counter, and the community—means more to this gal and her team than you know.

We see you. We appreciate you. And we’re gonna keep getting better.

I don’t know that there’s a lot of “better” left in Martha’s but she’s gonna try anyways.

A special shout out to our morning ray of sunshine, Amber Green. She was Teacher of the Week last week! Well deserved! She is one hard working gal and she loves our kids! 🙌🏼

This past week, we had the pleasure of recognizing an incredible educator, Mrs. Amber Green, as our Teacher of the Month! 💙

Mrs. Green is truly a staple in our school community and exemplifies what it means to inspire, motivate, and encourage students to always strive for excellence. She pours her heart into her classroom and her students, and her passion for helping them succeed is evident in everything she does. 📚🌟

As the One Act Play Coordinator, Mrs. Green has a special gift for bringing out the best in her students and celebrating their accomplishments every step of the way. 🎭👏 She is dedicated, encouraging, and always willing to go the extra mile to help her students shine.

When she isn’t in her classroom—which, let’s be honest, is almost never! 😂—you can find Mrs. Green enjoying the great outdoors. Whether she’s relaxing on her porch with a cup of coffee ☕️🌅 or spending time hunting with her family, she knows how to enjoy the simple things that make life special. 🦌❤️

Did y’all know it was National Coffee Day??

All day today! 🤯

And now it’s 8:35 PM.

So, it’s over now.

A really on-top-of-things-coffee-shop-owner might have rolled out the red carpet and done something real fancy like.

But, then there’s me. 😬

We did do our best to offer a size upgrade today as a, “Thank you for understanding our closure on Friday.” We hope we caught everyone! It was a busy day!

Probably because it was National Coffee Day. 😐
