Respect
US Staff Sergeant Diego M Gonzales, of Pecos, New Mexico.
He was a graduate of Pecos High School and proudly served in the United States with deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He earned the rank of staff sergeant.
Gonzales served with 1st Platoon, Golf Company, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Bn., 8th Marines, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel.

It has also been a testament to how much you were loved and how many lives you touched. You are always on our minds, and we treasure the wonderful memories we have of you. You were a great man, kind, caring, hard-working, and a hero who served our country with pride. We promise to keep your legacy alive and let your sons know how amazing you were.
