This Sunday, we’re shining the spotlight on Tatum Ruiz!
Born and raised right here in Menard, Tatum is a true hometown girl! When she’s not at Western Skies, she loves spending time with her 3-month-old son, Waylon, and her boyfriend, Ty. With 13 siblings, there’s never a shortage of family to cheer on, and you can often find Tatum watching one of their sporting events and showing her support! One of the perks of working at Western Skies? Getting to spend the day working alongside her best friend, Chloe! We’re proud to have Tatum as part of our Western Skies crew and appreciate everything she brings to our team. Swing by and say hi to Tatum and stay a while!

We will be doing an employee spotlight every Sunday on our team. This week meet our first hire Gerardo Villanueva! Gerardo is a true Menard local and someone we’re proud to have on the Western Skies team. When he’s not in the kitchen, you can usually find him drawing or spending time with his four kids, Destiny, Mia, Sofia, and Jr. He’s also a big Dallas Cowboys fan, so you might hear a little cussing coming from the kitchen on Sundays 😂
Gerardo brings years of experience and a wealth of knowledge to our kitchen. He’s an awesome cook, with an exceptional eye for detail, he’s always willing to lend a hand, and never hesitates to help wherever he’s needed. But just as important, Gerardo has a great sense of humor and a way of keeping the spirits high and the kitchen lively, even on the busiest days. Come by, stay a while and say hi to G if you can get him to look up from the grill.
