We want y’all to know that Nick is on the mend 🙌🏾. Ever since his strokes, his heart never left the truck and trust , he talks NON-STOP about getting back to serving up the flavors you love. 💪🏾🍖🍧

His mind is already on how quickly he can roll Smoke & Ice back into action, and when he’s ready… we’re throwing a Smoke & Ice Family Reunion 🎉 with all the food, love, and community you’ve been waiting for.

If you’ve been wondering how Nicholas Patterson is doing, I want to share a bit with you.

On June 10th, Nick suffered two ischemic strokes one earlier in the day, and another at some point later. The damage touched three separate areas of his brain. And yet… if you were to see him or speak to him today, you might not notice anything . That’s not science. That’s grace.

That is the favor of God covering him in a way that defies medical expectation.

He continues to attend speech therapy and, just like he’s done before, I’m believing he’s going to astound the doctors again. Why? Because around day 4, the doctors were considering a craniotomy to relieve pressure on his brain.

But God said otherwise.

If you ever wondered what grace looks like… it’s Nick.
If you ever wanted to see a walking miracle… it’s Nick.
God SPARED his life. Without question.

And now, he is walking this out day by day, therapy by therapy, prayer by prayer. Keep lifting him up. Keep believing. And when you see him, know that he’s here because purpose is still alive in him.

The Smoke and Ice Food Truck will be closed until further notice as we prioritize health and healing for Mr. Smoke & Ice himself .

We’re incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and concern. Every message, prayer, and kind word has meant more than you know.
