☕ A NEW CHAPTER FOR KINSHIP COFFEE — MELBOURNE ☕
Sometimes moving forward means being willing to close one door while trusting the Lord with the next one. This Friday, October 9th will be the last day for this location.
After much thought, prayer, and consideration, we have made the decision to temporarily close our Kinship Coffee Melbourne location.
This isn’t goodbye to Melbourne, and it isn’t because we don’t believe in this community. Quite the opposite. We want to find a better, more sustainable way to serve you.
Our heart has always been about more than simply selling coffee. It’s about people. It’s about relationships. It’s about creating a place where you can grab a great cup of coffee, be greeted with a smile, and know that you’re part of the Kinship family.
As we’ve operated at our current location, we’ve learned a lot about what would allow us to serve Melbourne even better. We believe a different setup—one designed specifically for coffee service, with the convenience of a drive-through, quicker turnaround, and lower operating costs—would allow Kinship Coffee to better serve our customers while building a stronger foundation for the future.
To pursue that vision wisely, we need to step away from our current setup for now and give ourselves room to regroup, revamp, and invest in what comes next.
We also want to say a very special thank you to Justin and Lacey. ❤️
They have been nothing but gracious, supportive, and encouraging from the very beginning. Without the opportunity they gave us, this vision would never have become a reality in Melbourne. The friendships made, relationships built, conversations shared, and cups of coffee served wouldn’t have happened without their willingness to open a door for us. We will forever be grateful.
Most of all, we’re thankful for every door the Lord has opened along the way. We don’t know exactly what the next door looks like yet, but we trust the One who does.
Sometimes, before the next door can open, we have to be willing to close the one we’re standing in.
So, for the moment, this is goodbye to our current Melbourne location—but we hope it is not goodbye to Kinship Coffee in Melbourne.
Our vision would be to return with something like a coffee trailer with a convenient drive-through setup—something that allows us to serve you quickly, operate sustainably, and continue investing in the Melbourne community for years to come.
And we’d love for you to be part of what comes next. ❤️
